Makes about 2 generous servings
This is a recipe that I have tried a few times and first saw in one of Dr. Andrew Weil’s Guide to Healthy Eating. Some like it better with the addition of milk, either dairy or non-diary. Give both a try and let us know what you think.
Ingredients
1 tsp dried turmeric
A pinch of freshly ground pepper
Up to 1 tsp honey (optional)
Up to 1 tsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional)
Up to 1 Tbsp diary (or non-diary) milk (optional)
Instructions
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
Add 1 tsp of ground turmeric and pepper and reduce to a simmer for about 10 minutes.
Strain tea, add honey to taste. And either supplement with lemon juice or milk, depending on your taste preferences.
