Pizza Dough

Buying fresh pizza dough from your neighborhood pizza joint is sure a quick way to get a meal on the table. But making it fresh isn´t really that hard and a fun way to give your fingers a workout. You need a little time to let the dough rest – for the yeast to work its magic – but other than that you´ll know, once again, what it is your eating if you make it from scratch. I usually bake the pizza at 420 F for about 15 minutes.

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour (1 cup whole wheat, rest white, or all of it GF)
1 package dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cups lukewarm water

Instructions:
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and either mix using a kitchen machine or by hand. Add a little more water if the dough is too dry or a little more flour if the dough is too watery using small quantities to adjust the mixture to obtain a soft, malleable dough.
Let the dough rest of 1 hour at room temperature.
Spread and either bake empty of bake with toppings.
