Barbecued Greek Pork Patties

Serves 4

Patties are the perfect size for little tummies and this Greek version of meatballs adds a nice variety using pork. We love to serve them with a yoghurt-based Tzatziki, pita bread and a Greek salad.

Ingredients:
1 lb. minced pork
1 small red onion, finely peeled and finely chopped
1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1 small clove garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon sea salt and freshly ground pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:
Place the pork, red onion, breadcrumbs, garlic, oregano, lemon zest, egg, salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix to combine well then form the mixture into 8 patties.
Slightly brush the patties with olive oil and cook them on a preheated barbecue for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through.
Serve the patties with Tzatziki, pita bread and a Greek salad.
